The Process

Four simple steps from a call to care.

Most clients go from first call to admission within 24–48 hours. Here's exactly what to expect.

01

Call or Chat With Us

Call our admissions line anytime — day or night, including holidays. You'll speak immediately with a compassionate admissions specialist who will listen to your situation without judgment or pressure. They are not salespeople — they're trained counselors whose only goal is to help you figure out the right next step.

This call is 100% free, completely confidential, and carries absolutely zero obligation.

02

Free Clinical Assessment

After your initial conversation, a licensed clinician will conduct a thorough confidential assessment covering your substance use history, any co-occurring mental health conditions, medical needs, family situation, and personal goals. This allows us to understand the complete picture and make a specific, personalized treatment recommendation — not a generic one.

This clinical assessment is also completely free of charge.

03

Insurance Verification

Our dedicated insurance specialists will contact your insurance provider directly on your behalf. They'll verify your addiction treatment benefits, determine your deductible and co-pay responsibilities, and explain everything in plain, simple language — no insurance jargon. If you're uninsured or underinsured, we'll discuss financial assistance options including sliding scale fees, payment plans, and scholarship funding.

You won't pay a dollar before you know exactly what to expect.

04

Arrive & Begin Healing

Once your treatment plan and financial picture are confirmed, we'll schedule your admission — typically within 24–48 hours. We'll send you a detailed packing guide, answer every question you have, and walk you through exactly what your first day will look like. For urgent situations, same-day admission is often possible. When you arrive, our team will be ready and waiting to welcome you.

Your only job on day one is to show up. We take care of everything else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about admission.

In most cases, we can complete the assessment and insurance verification and admit you within 24–48 hours of your initial call. For urgent medical situations or imminent danger of relapse, same-day admission is often possible. Our admissions team works around the clock and will move as fast as you need them to.
Yes — completely. All client information is protected by both HIPAA (federal healthcare privacy law) and 42 CFR Part 2, which provides additional confidentiality protections specifically for substance use disorder treatment. We will not share any information about you — including the fact that you're a client — with anyone without your written consent. Not your employer. Not your family. Not law enforcement, except under extremely limited circumstances.
Most likely, yes — at least partially, and often substantially. The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act requires most insurance plans to cover addiction treatment at the same level as other medical conditions. We verify benefits for thousands of clients per year and are experienced at maximizing coverage. Call us with your insurance card and we can typically have an answer for you the same day — before you make any commitment.
For residential inpatient treatment, most clients take a temporary leave from work. The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) entitles eligible employees to up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for serious health conditions — including addiction treatment. Many employers also have EAP (Employee Assistance Programs) that provide additional support. Our licensed social workers can help you navigate this process, contact your HR department if you wish, and ensure your leave is handled appropriately.
Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Family involvement is one of the most powerful predictors of long-term recovery. After an initial stabilization period (typically the first 7–14 days, depending on your program), we schedule regular family visitation, weekly family therapy calls, and our Family Healing Program weekend intensives. We'll keep your family as involved as you want them to be throughout your stay.
Please come. Relapse is extremely common — research shows that 40–60% of people with substance use disorders relapse at some point. It is not a sign of failure, weakness, or a flawed character. It is a sign that the disease is chronic and that the previous treatment approach may need to be refined. Each time someone enters treatment, we have more information about what works for them and what doesn't. We have never turned away someone who has relapsed, and we never will.
Aftercare planning begins on your very first day of treatment, not your last. Your clinical team builds a comprehensive discharge plan tailored to your situation — which typically includes a step-down to a lower level of care (PHP or IOP), sober living referrals if appropriate, connections to outpatient therapists and psychiatrists, introduction to local 12-step or SMART Recovery meetings, peer mentorship through our alumni network, and ongoing check-in calls from our alumni team. Recovery doesn't end at discharge — and neither does our relationship with you.
No — we treat all substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids (heroin, fentanyl, prescription painkillers), stimulants (cocaine, meth, Adderall), benzodiazepines, marijuana, and polysubstance use. We are also equipped to treat behavioral addictions such as gambling when they co-occur with substance use. Call us if you're unsure whether we treat your specific situation — the answer is almost certainly yes.
