About Us

More than two decades of healing lives.

Founded in 2003 in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Mountainside Recovery Center has grown from a small residential program into one of the region's most trusted addiction treatment facilities โ€” guided by one belief: every person deserves a chance at recovery.

Our Story

Built on belief in the possibility of change.

Mountainside Recovery Center was founded by Dr. Eleanor Marsh, a board-certified addiction psychiatrist who had spent years watching people cycle in and out of treatment facilities that weren't equipped to address the full complexity of addiction. Her vision was deceptively simple: create a place where science-backed treatment meets genuine human compassion.

Set against the backdrop of Colorado's Front Range, our facility was intentionally designed to leverage the healing power of nature alongside rigorous clinical programming. Research consistently shows that environment matters in recovery โ€” which is why our campus feels like a refuge, not just a medical facility.

Over the past 20+ years, we've grown from 12 residential beds to a full continuum of care serving hundreds of clients each year. But what hasn't changed is our culture: every staff member, from our physicians to our kitchen team, understands that the person in front of them is someone's parent, child, sibling, or friend โ€” and treats them accordingly.

Today, under the continued leadership of Dr. Marsh and a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and recovery coaches, we've helped more than 4,200 individuals and families find their way to lasting sobriety.

Our Mission

"To provide every person who walks through our doors with compassionate, evidence-based treatment that addresses the whole person โ€” body, mind, and spirit โ€” and empowers them to build a life worth staying sober for."

Our Values

The principles that guide everything we do.

๐Ÿงก

Compassion First

We approach every person without judgment. Addiction is a chronic medical condition, not a moral failing, and we treat it that way โ€” with empathy, dignity, and unconditional respect for every individual who seeks our help.

๐Ÿ”ฌ

Evidence-Based Care

Our clinical protocols are rooted in the latest addiction medicine research. We use therapies with proven outcomes โ€” CBT, DBT, EMDR, MAT โ€” and continuously update our practices as the science evolves.

๐Ÿคฒ

Whole-Person Healing

Recovery isn't just about stopping substance use. We address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of each person's wellbeing โ€” because lasting sobriety requires all of these to be in balance.

๐Ÿ”’

Absolute Confidentiality

Your privacy is sacred to us. We maintain the strictest standards of confidentiality in everything from your initial call to your discharge and beyond โ€” protected by both HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

๐ŸŒฑ

Long-Term Recovery

We don't measure success by getting through detox or completing a 30-day program. We measure it by the quality of life our graduates build for themselves โ€” one year, five years, a lifetime later.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง

Family Inclusion

Addiction rarely affects just one person. We involve and educate families throughout the treatment process because we know that lasting recovery is enormously strengthened by a supportive, informed network of loved ones.
