Comprehensive care for every stage of recovery.
No two journeys are the same. Our full continuum of care meets you exactly where you are — from medically supervised detox through long-term aftercare — with evidence-based treatment tailored specifically to you.
Medical Detox
Withdrawal can be physically dangerous — even life-threatening — without proper medical supervision. Alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal can cause seizures. Opioid withdrawal is intensely uncomfortable and often leads to relapse. Our medically managed detox program provides 24/7 clinical monitoring in a safe, comfortable environment to manage symptoms and prepare you for the next phase of treatment.
You don't have to white-knuckle through this. Our medical team uses evidence-based protocols to minimize discomfort and keep you safe every step of the way.
- Around-the-clock physician and nursing oversight
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when clinically appropriate
- Comfort-focused withdrawal protocols
- Mental health monitoring and crisis support
- Nutritional support and hydration therapy
- Seamless transition into residential or PHP care
Residential Inpatient Treatment
Our flagship residential program immerses clients in a structured, healing environment — away from the triggers, stressors, and environments that sustain addiction. You'll live on our mountain campus for 30, 60, or 90 days while engaging in intensive individual therapy, daily group sessions, holistic programming, and community building.
This is our most intensive and transformative level of care — designed for those who need full separation from their daily environment to begin a meaningful recovery.
- 30-, 60-, and 90-day program options
- Daily individual therapy (CBT, DBT, EMDR)
- Multiple group therapy sessions per day
- Holistic modalities: yoga, meditation, outdoor therapy, fitness
- Chef-prepared nutritious meals and dietary support
- Family visitation and weekly family therapy sessions
- Comprehensive discharge planning from day one
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
PHP delivers near-inpatient intensity of care while allowing clients to live in a supportive off-site environment such as sober living. Clients attend 6+ hours of structured treatment programming five to six days per week — making it a powerful bridge between residential and independent living.
PHP is ideal for clients stepping down from residential treatment, those who have a stable home environment, or those whose circumstances don't allow full-time residential admission.
- Full-day structured programming, 5–6 days per week
- Individual therapy and group counseling daily
- Medical management and psychiatric support
- Life skills, vocational support, and relapse prevention training
- Coordination with sober living arrangements if needed
- Random drug and alcohol monitoring
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
More than 50% of people who struggle with addiction also have a co-occurring mental health disorder. When only the addiction is treated — and the underlying mental health condition is left unaddressed — the risk of relapse is dramatically higher. This is why integrated dual diagnosis treatment is so critical.
At Mountainside, we are equipped to diagnose and treat both addiction and mental health conditions simultaneously, using one coordinated clinical team rather than two separate providers.
- Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation on admission
- Medication management by board-certified addiction psychiatrists
- Trauma-informed therapy: EMDR, CPT, Somatic Experiencing
- Treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD
- Integrated team: psychiatrist + therapist + case manager
- Aftercare planning that includes ongoing mental health support
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our IOP provides meaningful, structured treatment while allowing clients to maintain their home life, work responsibilities, or family obligations. Three to four sessions per week — each three hours long — provide consistent therapeutic support without requiring full-time residency.
IOP is ideal for those transitioning from residential or PHP, those early in recovery who have a stable home environment, or those returning to treatment after a relapse who need re-engagement at a manageable level of care.
- 3–4 sessions per week, 3 hours each
- Individual therapy and group counseling
- Relapse prevention planning and coping skills training
- Evening and morning scheduling options available
- Random drug and alcohol monitoring
- Case management and aftercare coordination
Family Healing Program
Addiction is often called a "family disease" — and for good reason. The partners, parents, siblings, and children of those struggling with addiction experience their own forms of trauma, grief, enabling patterns, and broken trust. Healing the family system is not optional; it's essential to durable recovery.
Our nationally recognized Family Healing Program helps loved ones understand the science of addiction, process their own pain, establish healthy boundaries, and build the communication skills needed to support recovery — together, not in isolation.
- Weekend family education intensives
- Weekly family therapy sessions with licensed therapists
- Al-Anon and Nar-Anon integration and referrals
- Co-dependency recognition and healing workshops
- Enabling behavior education and boundary-setting skills
- Ongoing family support and check-ins post-discharge
We make treatment financially accessible.
Most major insurance plans cover a significant portion — often all — of our treatment programs. The Mental Health Parity Act requires insurers to cover addiction treatment similarly to other medical conditions. Our insurance specialists will verify your benefits before you make any commitment.
"I had no idea how many programs Mountainside offered. My counselor helped me understand which one was right for my situation. I didn't have to figure it out alone — they walked me through every option and I felt genuinely heard."
— Rachel T., Residential + IOP Graduate
